What Are the Exercises for Total Gym?

If you want a full-body workout, you should consider exercises for Total Gym. Use your body weight, you have a full upper body and lower body workout. These exercises include basic exercises that can be performed at different intensities. Here are some exercises for total gym:
- squat. This exercise targets the calves, quadriceps, hamstrings and most of your core muscles. To do this, you must lie on the bench. Place your feet shoulder-width apart, and then begin to reduce the upper body down, bending your legs accordingly. Drive through your heels, and then resume their original position. Repeat as desired.
- Torso Twist. It is best to do this while kneeling, as it will involve the muscles of your hair, and maybe all your core muscles. Start the routine by kneeling on the Glide Board. Grab the wheel with both hands, and then begin to contract your abs by pulling the handle to allow the slide to move up. Make sure to keep your back straight while you go through this routine. Continue to the starting position and repeat this routine as you want. You can perform this exercise for both sides.
- back row. This exercise will help you build your upper back, shoulders and biceps. To this exercise, you must first sit or kneel on the equipment in the Glide Board. You have to make sure that you are facing the pulley system. Grab the handlebars on either side, and then lie flat on your back. Start by drawing the shoulders back while you have your arms bent. Hold the position while still contracted upper back. Return to starting position. Repeat as desired.
- Chest Fly. This exercise focuses your shoulders, triceps and pectorals. To do this, you first have to lie flat on the board of Glide, and then grab the steering wheel in each of your arms. Make sure your elbows are slightly bent as you bring the handlebars to one another. Hold the position as your chest muscles contract and then return to starting position. Repeat the exercise as you want.
